Raby Castle was originally built as a Viking settlement in the 11th century. The current castle was built as a fortress for the Nevill family in the 14th century. It is surrounded by 200 acres of parkland where herds of red and fallow deer live wild.

There is a Yurt cafe offering a menu of sweet and savoury food.
